Janet M. Trautman, 84, of Cornwall, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, in her residence. She was the wife of Robert H. Trautman, with whom she celebrated 64 years of marriage.
Janet was born in Cleona, PA on Nov. 1, 1936, to the late Russell and Stella (Strack) Myers. She was a 1954 Lebanon High School graduate. She retired from ALCOA as plant personnel supervisor. Janet was a member of St. Mark’s United Church of Christ in Lebanon, where she was an elder, involved with youth and mission trips, served on various committees, and on the consistory. She was a life member of The Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary and served on the hospital board. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, water skiing, and snow skiing.
She is survived by her sister, Doris Yates, of Titusville, FL, four god-children, Julie Rhen, of Texas, Andrew Rhen, of Hummelstown, Zachary Bell, of Lebanon, Nathaniel Bell, of Lebanon, and D. Herb Smaltz, and his wife, Sandy, of The Villages, FL, and Heather Noll, of Cleona, whom she loved like a son and daughter.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
