Janet R. “Jeannie” Moore, 72, of Myerstown, PA, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021. She was the wife of the late Bruce R. Moore who died in 2017.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on Nov. 9, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys Rodgers. Jeannie was a 1966 graduate of Shartiers Valley High School in Pittsburgh. She then graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1970 with a B.S. in Education and Millersville University in 1974 with a Masters in Education for counseling. She taught Home Economics at Donegal High School, Mt. Joy, from 1972 to 1975. Jeannie and her husband Bruce owned and operated Bruce Moore Auto Salvage, Myerstown.

She was a member of the Zion UM Church of Myerstown where she sang in the Praise Choir.

Jeannie is survived by a daughter, Rebecca K. Moore, brothers, Donald J. Rodgers, William P. Rodgers, and Dennis C. Rodgers, a sister, Mary C. Moran, and several nieces and nephews.
