Janice Mary (Moyer) Detweiler, 82, of Jonestown, PA, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025, at her home. She was the wife of Ernest P. Detweiler, with whom she celebrated 61 years of married life this past October.
Born in Doylestown, PA, on June 10, 1943, she was the daughter of the late J. Ammon and the late Marion (Hedrick) Moyer. She was a member of the Dohner Mennonite Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Michael (Rhoda Weaver) Detweiler, of Clare, MI, Bruce (Rebecca Rohrer) Detweiler, of East Berlin, PA, Harold (Dorcas Hurst) Detweiler, of Jonestown, PA, and Clifford (Linda Bicher) Detweiler, of Jonestown, PA; daughters, Emily and Lucy Detweiler, at home; daughter-in-law, Joann (Stephen) Bauman, of Annville, PA; sisters, Eunice (Daniel) Lehman, Sara (Timothy) Carper, and Rhoda Myers; 29 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gerald D. Detweiler; and brother-in-law, Alan Myers.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2025, at the Dohner Mennonite Church, 2771 Cedar Run Road, Lebanon. A viewing will be held at the church on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. Interment will follow the service in the adjoining church cemetery.
