Jeffrey David Brandt, 70, of Lebanon, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy. He was the husband of Martha J. (Snyder) Brandt. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in August 2025.
Jeff was born in Lancaster on April 2, 1956, to Arthur and Mary (Rettew) Brandt. He graduated from Penn Manor High School in 1974. Jeff served in the U.S. Navy for six years. After he was discharged, he worked as an electronics technician and automation engineer, traveling around the country and the world in his work. Jeff was a member of the Lebanon Area Evangelical Free Church and enjoyed participating in the church’s monthly men’s breakfasts. He loved to read, enjoyed good music, but, most of all, loved his family. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his kind and gentle spirit, his generosity, and his love for Jesus.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, David, husband of Sarah (Reed) Brandt, of Myerstown, and Patrick, husband of Katherine (Ricketts) Brandt, of Lititz; grandchildren, Amy, Caleb, Kyra, Phillip, and Micah; and brother, Stephen, husband of Jean Brandt.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Lebanon Area Evangelical Free Church, 600 Shepherd St., Jonestown. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. A private inurnment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mount Joy, PA 17552.
