Jeffrey Robert Imboden, 73, of Palmyra, died on April 13, 2023, in Lebanon. He was the husband of Mary (Sholly) Imboden.
Born in Hershey on March 20, 1950, he was the son of the late H. Robert and Jane Kreiser Imboden.
Jeff graduated from Palmyra High School with the Class of 1968, attended Grove City College, received his BA in political science, and received his master’s degree in secondary education from Antioch Graduate School of Education in New Hampshire. Jeff served in Volunteers in Service to America in the Hispanic community of Cleveland, OH, from 1972 to 1974. Jeff then worked for the LUK Crisis Intervention Center in Fitchburg, MA, from 1975 to 1976. He lived in Boston, MA, in 1976, where he became an avid Red Sox fan. Jeff then worked for the PA Board of Probation and Parole as a parole agent and served two terms as a Parole Board Member. Additionally, he worked in the Lebanon County Adult Probation Department, serving as Chief County Probation Officer from 1997 through 2003. He was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Lebanon, a member of the National Fraternal Order of Police, and an associate member of the Lebanon County Police Chief’s Association.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, is son, Nicholas A. Imboden, of Philadelphia, PA, and daughter, Ellen E. Imboden, of Savannah, GA.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 11 AM from Trinity United Church of Christ, 40 W. Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078. Inurnment will take place at the convenience of the family.
