Jennie P. Steffy, 86, of Annville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, at the Lebanon Valley Home. She was the wife of the late James R. Steffy, who passed away in 2000.

Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Stella (Ream) Pierce.

Jennie was a graduate of Millersville University who worked as a teacher until she gave birth to her first daughter and then she decided to stay home and devote herself to raising her children. Jennie also worked as a substitute teacher in the Cornwall-Lebanon School District and was an avid volunteer at St. James Lutheran Church in Lebanon, where she made quilts and backpacks that were sent overseas. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and making crafts with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Ann E. Steffy Najera (Josue), of MI, and Susan M. Ledell (Chris), of CA; and five grandchildren, Samuel, Estela, Alex, CJ, and Breana.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023, at 11 a.m. in Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Inurnment will be private. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of her service at the funeral home.
