Jerold C. Kintzel, 72, of Pine Grove, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Geraldine A. (Hullihan) Kintzel. They celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary this past Oct. 21.

Born in Pottsville on March 26, 1953, he was the son of the late Jeremiah and Frances (Bretz) Kintzel. Jerry graduated from Pine Grove High School with the Class of 1971. In 1979, he started J.C. Kintzel Garage, where he was a mechanic. In 1990, the garage added Kintzel Motors, which sold cars. He enjoyed Sunday flea markets, auctions, buying antiques, and working.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Kelly A., wife of Jeffery Heim, of Schuylkill Haven, and Megan E. Kintzel, and husband, Rich; grandchildren, Ryan Heim, Tessa Thomas, Christopher Heim, Lexi, Nevaeh, Khloe, and Andrew Heim; great-grandchildren, Brooks, Adelynn, Everly, and Beau; brother, Richard Kintzel, of Tremont; and sister, Diane Ditzler, of Pine Grove. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela M. Kintzel.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, at 11 a.m., at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. The viewing will start at 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Interment will be at the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Pine Grove.
