Jerry R. Nafzinger, 70, of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020, at his home.
Born in Lebanon on October 28, 1949, he was the son of the late Elmer C. and Betty M. Peiffer Nafzinger. He retired from Alcoa. He was a member of the Bethany Church of the Nazarene in Harrisburg. He enjoyed bowling, playing chess, pinochle, and especially riding his motorcycle. Jerry served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam Conflict.
He is survived by his sons Ken A. of Jonestown, Adam R. of Lebanon, Dale L. of Myerstown, and Lee S. Nafzinger of Lebanon; his daughter Holly J. wife of Steve Klinger; brother Daniel Nafzinger of Lebanon and George Adcock; and thirteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Ricky and Perry Nafzinger, and sisters Beverly Rittle, Sherry Beard, and Shirley Yingst.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020, at 12 noon at the Bethany Church of the Nazarene, 1605 Parkway West, Harrisburg. Inurnment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Friday, July 24, 2020, at 10:00 a.m.
