Jill M. Young, 75, of Jonestown, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, at her home. She was the wife of John R. Young. They just celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on July 29.
Born in Jonestown on Aug. 1, 1950, Jill was the daughter of the late Fred W. and Dorothy A. (Mohn) Kent. She graduated from Northern Lebanon High School with the Class of 1967. She was a member of Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jonestown. Jill worked as a home health aide for Good Samaritan Hospital; she and her husband, John, would put on singing shows for the older adults in the homes, which would raise money to help send students to Bible College. Her passion was taking care of older people and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Jill is survived by her children, Dylynn L., husband of Amaris Kent, of Myerstown, and Melissa L., wife of Jason Brown, of Fredericksburg; grandchildren, Jordon Sr., Miranda, Xavier, Jasper, Dakota, Leo, and Paxton; great-grandchildren, Jordon Jr. and Avery; brothers, Fred, Gary, and Randy Kent; and sister, Roberta Cunningham. She was preceded in death by her sister, Linette Loose.
Memorial services will be at the convenience of the family.
