Jo-Ann Ryder, 84, formerly of Palmyra, PA, and most recently of Ball Ground, GA, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Heritage Hospice in Marietta, GA.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with a private interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Jo-Ann was born in Chester, PA, on April 6, 1939, to the late Meyer and Naomi (White) Abrams.

She enjoyed going to the movies with her friends, traveling with her late husband, and visiting with friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ryder; and her brother, Jerry Abrams.

Jo-Ann is survived by her daughters, Tracy Evans (Chris) and Cindy Hersman (Andrew); three grandchildren, Robert Vaughn (Emily), Isabella Hersman, and Benjamin Hersman; and one great-grandchild, Evan Vaughn.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jo-Ann’s memory to the ASPCA.
