Joan Madeline Miller, 88, of Myerstown, formerly of Palmyra, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at StoneRidge Towne Center. She was the wife of the late William R. “Bill” Miller, who preceded her in death.
Joan was born in Lebanon on Oct. 28, 1934, to the late John H. LeGay and Helen H. (Weik) LeGay.
She had worked at Winthrop (Sterling Drug) and left to pursue LPN nursing at 47 years old. Joan was a member of First E.C. Church in Palmyra. She was a Master Gardener through the Penn State extension. She enjoyed crafting, painting, flower gardening, especially roses, singing in the church choir for many years, and reading.
Surviving is her daughters, Debra Y. Kline (Bruce), of Myerstown, Denise Y. Warnock (James), of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Lori A. Felty (Robert), of Harrisburg; stepchildren, Kathleen Hay, Debra Confer, Karen Berkheiser, and William Miller; seven grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Georgetta Marko and Eldon LeGay.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023, at 11 AM at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be in St. John’s E.C. Church Cemetery, Steelstown. There will be a visitation from 10 AM – 11 AM at the funeral home.
