Joanne M. Albert, 89, of Cleona, passed away on Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, at StoneRidge Poplar Run in Myerstown. She was the wife of the late John A. Albert, who passed away in 2019.

Joanne was born in Lebanon on June 16, 1934, to the late Harry W. and Sara R. (Runkle) Blouch.

She was a 1952 Lebanon High School graduate. She worked at The Colonial Theater, People’s National Bank, and Haak’s Department Store in Lebanon and was a bookkeeper at Meyer Oil Company in Cleona for 24 years. Joanne was a lifelong member of Covenant United Methodist Church, where she was on the chancel guild and the finance committee. She enjoyed gardening, water exercise, listening to music, playing piano, attending church and community concerts, and spending time with family, friends, and neighbors.

She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Barbara J. Albert, and her husband, Dr. Stephen Voss, of Arlington, VA; grandsons, William Voss, of Hoboken, NJ, and John Voss, of Baltimore, MD; siblings, Mary K. Blouch and Thomas H. Blouch, both of Lebanon; and two nephews, Jeffrey and Michael Blouch, both of Palmyra.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard and Carl Blouch.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, at 11:30 a.m., at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Monday, Feb. 19, 2024, from 6-8 p.m., and again on Tuesday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m., all at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.
