John D. Ebersole, 78, of Schaefferstown, PA, died on Friday, May 29, 2026, at his residence. He was the widower of Rachelle E. (Rauser) Ebersole, who died in 2022.

Born in Hershey, PA, on April 10, 1948, he was a son of the late Clyde and Elsie Ebersole. John was a 1966 graduate of Conrad Weiser High School. He retired as a maintenance supervisor at Aluminum Alloys, Sinking Springs.

John enjoyed woodworking, bird watching, helping at the Barry Farm in Schaefferstown, and especially enjoyed his dog, Casey.

Surviving include his sons, Todd J. Ebersole, husband of Jessica, and Troy J. Ebersole, husband of Allison; grandchildren, Austin, Mitchell, Britney, Logan, Makayla, Lauren, and Chase; great-grandchildren, Elijah and John; two sisters; and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Grose Funeral Home Inc., 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, PA. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Millbach Cemetery, Newmanstown, PA.
