John Dale Loye, 66, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, at his residence. He was the husband of Catherine R. (Deyo) Loye, with whom he celebrated 36 years of marriage.

John was born in Harrisburg on Aug. 7, 1959, to the late John Allen and Marianne (Chritzman) Loye. He was a 1977 Central Dauphin High School graduate. He was a truck driver for Feeser’s Food Distributors. He attended Lebanon Christian Fellowship. John cared deeply about people and had a desire for them to come to know the saving, keeping power of Jesus Christ. John had a passion for God’s word, and he was known to many as a walking Bible. He was part of the men’s group at church and was always there to give encouragement to others. The greatest enjoyment in his life was his granddaughter, Arwyn.

Surviving are his children, Abigail Loye, Josiah Loye, and Hannah Sholly, and husband, Bret; grandchild, Arwyn; sister, Lauri Coe; and stepmother, Sara Loye. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Beth-Elle Loye.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Calvary Chapel, 740 Willow St., Lebanon. Interment will be held privately. There will be a viewing from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church.
