John H. Eck, Jr. 79, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021, at home. He was the husband of Anne (Hildebrand) Eck.

Born in Lebanon, PA on September 17, 1941, John was the son of the late John Sr. and Jennie (Hippert) Weik Eck. He was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. John enjoyed golf, baseball games, vacationing at the beach, family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren. While John ended his career as a Business Consultant, he worked for over 10 years in the Bethlehem Steel Mill and was most proud of his years as an iron ore miner in Cornwall.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by three children, Timothy J. Eck, Kerry C. Eck, husband of Angie, and Daniel J. Eck, husband of Michelle; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Tyler, husband of Aly, Matthew, Jared, and Jeremy; two great grandchildren, Kasie and Mason; a brother-in-law, Joseph Hildebrand; and several nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family.

A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 14th, followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th Street, Lebanon.
