John H. Reigel, 88, formerly of Annville, PA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 3, 2023. He was the husband of Margaret M. (Heagy) Reigel for 66 years.
John was born in East Hanover Township on April 30, 1935, to the late John and Lizzie Moyer Reigel.
He was the retired owner of John H. Reigel Excavating Contractor, working on many excavation development projects in Lebanon and neighboring counties. He did roadwork and snow removal for North Annville Township. He was also a volunteer for the Bellegrove Fire Company for many years. John was a member of the Annville United Christian Church, where he served as a trustee, and also served as a board member of the United Christian Church Cleona Campmeeting.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, is his three daughters, Marilyn, wife of Earl Smith, of Lebanon, PA, Janet, wife of Vic Stewart, of Lebanon, PA, and Debra, wife of Clifford Weaver, of Lititz, PA; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mabel, wife of Clarence Forney, of Lebanon.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Reigel.
John was a devoted and beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He faithfully served the Lord and was influential in passing on his faith to his family. He was always quick to lend a helping hand to family, friends, charities, and the church, especially if it involved the use of equipment. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and valued time with them.
A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. at Kreamer Funeral Home, 618 E. Main St., Annville, on Friday, Dec. 8, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Annville United Christian Church, 245 W. Church St., Annville, with a one-hour viewing prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Bellegrove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bellegrove Fire Company or the Cleona Campmeeting Association.
