John I. Wolfe, Sr., 83, of Beverly Heights, Lebanon, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021, at his home. He was the husband of the late Elaine E. Wenger Wolfe.

Born in Lebanon County on May 30, 1938, he was the son of the late Jacob and Grace (Dundore) Wolfe. John served in the U.S. Army stateside during the Vietnam Conflict. He went on to retire from Bethlehem Steel. John was a member of the Fredericksburg and Jonestown Legion, and the Perseverance Fire Company. He enjoyed scratching off lottery tickets, fishing, being with his family, and adored his late dog Shadow.

He is survived by his sons, Steven E. husband of Kathleen Wolfe of Lebanon, and Corey A. husband of Kimberly Wolfe of Lebanon; daughters Shirley E. wife of Dave Warner of Jonestown, Lisa L. Wolfe wife of Mark Light of Jonestown, Jolene M. Wolfe and her companion Ronald Parker, Jr. of Jonestown, and Pamela D. Wolfe of Lebanon; grandchildren David husband of Marie Warner, Joshua Warner, Heather Hosper, Donovan husband of Kyla Wolfe, Brandon Wolfe, Emily Wolfe, Samantha wife of Sam Reichert, Johnna Wolfe, Marissa Parker and Jaylynn Zipp; seven great-grandchildren; brother William Wolfe of Annville; sister Jackie “Susie” Fisher of Lancaster Co.; and dear friends Barb & Eric Moyer. He was preceded in death by his son John I. Wolfe, Jr., grandson Ronald Parker, III, and eleven siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Jonestown.
