John J. Brown Sr., 69, of Myerstown, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025, at his home.
Born in Lebanon on April 30, 1956, he was the son of the late Harvey D. and Eva M. (Walmer) Brown. John owned, operated, and enjoyed working his crop and beef farm. He was active with the Frystown Fire Company. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, and especially tractor and truck pulling at the Lebanon Area Fair.
He is survived by his sons, John J. Jr., and his wife, Kristen Brown, of Hamburg, and David A., and his wife, Amanda Brown, of Bethel; and grandchildren, Nicholas, Zander, Taylor, Bransen, and Blake. He was preceded in death by his brother, Warren H. Brown; and infant sister, Mary Jane Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A viewing will be held beginning at 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Interment will follow at Merkey’s Cemetery.
