John W. “Jack” Rudegeair, 86, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, Nov. 20, 2020, at the Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Colleen R. (Barry) Rudegeair.
Born in Lebanon, PA on Oct. 16, 1934, Jack was a son of the late Charles and Frances (Morrisey) Rudegeair. He was a United States Navy veteran and was retired from the former Cleaver Brooks. He enjoyed acting at the Lebanon Community Theatre and was a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
Jack is survived by five children: Anne F. Lesher, wife of Elmer, John C. Rudegeair, husband of Nicole, Eileen M. Mojica, wife of Luis, James E. Rudegeair, husband of Kelly, and Samuel T. Rudegeair, husband of Jillian; nine grandchildren: Mike, Mark, Sam, Courtney, Alex, Luis, Abriel, Carley, and Jacob; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Jane Karter; Jack’s companion of many years, Sandy Wentzel; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by nine siblings.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, 2020 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, interment with full military honors will follow. Viewing hours will be held Sunday evening from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. and Monday morning from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
