John M. Holst, 82, of Gulfport, FL, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024. He was the husband of Cynthia (Maxwell) Holst.

Born in Rochester, NY, he was a son of the late Martin and Margaret (Thornell) Holst.

John retired as a production supervisor with Hershey Foods and was a Vietnam veteran, having served his country in the U.S. Navy. John truly enjoyed his retirement years in Florida and relished every opportunity to spend time captaining his boat for his wife, family, and friends. He celebrated his 53 years of a loving marriage to Cynthia and expressed great pride in seeing his son’s success in his career and family.

In addition to his wife, Cynthia, he is survived by his son, Darren Holst, and wife, Jessica, of Harrisburg; grandson, Alexander Holst; and sister, Karen, wife of David Stainbrook, of Annville.

Graveside services will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
