John M. Hunsicker, 74, of Myerstown, died on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Pavilion, Philadelphia. He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki A. (Hibshman) Hunsicker. They married on Nov. 3, 1973.
Born in Lebanon, PA, on Nov. 26, 1950, he was the son of the late Phillip and Betty (Barge) Hunsicker. A 1968 graduate of ELCO High School, he served in the Army National Guard of Pennsylvania and worked in the warehouse at AWI, Robesonia, PA, retiring in 2014.
John thoroughly enjoyed fishing and was a member of multiple fishing clubs. He also enjoyed working in his yard, shooting pool with his friends, and organizing his garage.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by his sons, Greg J. Hunsicker, husband of Danielle, of Pittsburgh, and Kris J. Hunsicker, husband of Dru, of Penn Valley; sister, Christine Willhoyte; grandchildren, Connor, Wiley, Keira, Vaida, and Leara; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marcia Ann Hunsicker.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Myerstown Church of the Brethren, 51 W. Stoever Ave., Myerstown, PA. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Final services are private at the convenience of the family.
