John W. “Jack” Grier III, 76, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He is survived by his loving wife, Norma (Valentin) Grier.

Born in Annville, PA, on March 23, 1948, he was the son of the late John W. Grier Jr. and the late Evelyn G. (Pickell) Grier.

Jack was a graduate of Annville-Cleona High School, and he retired from a lifelong career in the PA National Guard.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are nine children, Bridget A. Breidegan, wife of Barry, of Lebanon, Jeanette M. Cunningham, wife of Chris, of Newville, Megan L. Grier, of Palmyra, John D. Grier, of Bethel, Jose Ortiz, husband of Tammy, of Florida, Juan Ortiz, husband of Terry, of Lebanon, Elroy Ortiz, husband of Kelly, of Lebanon, Gilbert Ortiz, of Hershey, and Adam Gonzalez, husband of Angie, of Lebanon; three sisters, Lorie Gonzalez, wife of Charlie, of Annville, Donna Miller, husband of Joe, of Altoona, and Ann Gates, wife of Kenny, of Annville; 19 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Grier.

A public viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville, PA 17003. An additional public viewing will be held from 12-1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Interment with military honors will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
