John W. Lefever, Sr., 66, of Myerstown, died Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at the WellSpan York Hospital.

Born in Lancaster on February 19, 1955, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Frantz) Lefever. John was the husband of Mary E. Bateman. He was a member of HOG (Harley Owners Group), a Philadelphia sports and Penn State fan, enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and spending time with his grandchildren and dogs.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by a daughter, Jessica, wife of Paul Beamesderfer, of Myerstown, son, John L. Lefever, Jr., of New Providence, proud stepfather of Alexandra, Nick, Brendan, and Clayton, grandchildren, Cheyenne, Bailey, Josie, Maisy, and Ellena, sister, Deb Druckenmiller, of Reamstown, brothers, Roy, husband of Lori Lefever, of Schoeneck, Allen Lefever, of GA, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 23, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Zion United Methodist Church, 22 E. Main Ave., Myerstown. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
