Jorge Luis Castillo, also known as Cali, 62, of Lebanon, passed away on March 12, 2025, at WellSpan York Hospital surrounded by loved ones.
Born on Nov. 1, 1962, in Puerto Rico, a son of the late Santos Castillo-Ortiz and Maria Castillo-Morales.
Cali lived a life full of love, unspoken bond, and dedication to family and friends and simply loved by his community. He was known for his great sense of humor, making silly faces, generosity, resilience, and love. Cali had a passion for dancing, riding bike, playing pool, and watching wrestling, and he made a lasting impact on those around him with his energy. He had a language of his own and communicated through sign language, music, gestures, facial expressions, and touching the lives of many with his warmth, kindness, and unshakable spirit. His presence brought joy, laughter, and deep understanding to family and friends.
Cali is survived by his significant other, Kim Blatt; children, Yashira Castillo, Barbara Etzweiler, and Jorge Castillo Jr.; and grandchildren, Cameron, Jayden, and Maliyah, Arishay, Omar, Luca, Ariana, Xavier, and Enzo. He is also survived by his siblings, Nerva Castillo, Santos Castillo Jr., Dorgui Sepulveda, and Ivette Espinar; and several nieces and nephews and close friends.
Cali was preceded in death by siblings, Efrain Castillo, Nelson Castillo, and Hector Castillo; and niece, Ivy Rivera.
A service to honor Cali’s life will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, PA 17046. Cemetery services will be held at a later date at Kimmerlings Cemetery, 1 St. Jacob’s Dr., Lebanon, PA 17046.
