Jose L. Vazquez Torres, 78, of Jonestown, PA, and Fort Lauderdale, FL, passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born a twin on April 20, 1947, in Cidra, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late George A. Vazquez Sr. and Antonia Torres Vazquez.
Jose was a devoted son, father, brother, grandfather, “Cuco,” cousin, nephew, uncle, friend, partner, soldier, and soulmate. He will be remembered for his love of family and the meaningful connections he built throughout his life.
He is survived by his children, Jose L. Vazquez II, and his wife, Lesvi Vazquez, Erica Vazquez Ortiz, and her husband, Rene Ortiz, and Derrick Vazquez; beloved grandchildren, Jose L. Vazquez III, Jesse L. Vazquez, Jova L. Vazquez, and Judah L. Vazquez; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nephews; brother, George A. Vazquez II; and twin sister, Luisa Vazquez Jimenez.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Vazquez; and sister, Kathy Vazquez Santana, who will be remembered always.
