Joseph C. “Joe” Nordai Jr., 77, passed away on Aug. 13, 2024, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.

He was born on Dec. 27, 1946, to the late Joseph C. Nordai Sr. and Ruth Nordai nee Lear in Mechanicsburg, PA.

He was a proud printer at Sterling Lebanon Packaging, later transitioning to a truck driver for Sunset Outlets, where he dedicated his work for many years. Throughout his life, Joseph found joy in supporting his favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles, and indulged in hobbies such as car maintenance, word searches, and construction projects. His commitment to serving his community was evident in his 30+ years as a firefighter with Friendship Fire Company, where he selflessly supported and protected those around him. Joseph cherished the companionship of his cats and dogs and found solace in their company.

Surviving are his daughters, Amy Bowman, and spouse, Ryan, Beth Tonini, and spouse, Robert, and Tracy Allen; grandchildren, Trinity Blizzard (Husband Ryan Blizzard), Felicity Bowman, Ethan Bowman, Esme Bowman, Cody Allen, Tori Allen, Tyler Allen, Alexis Stewart, Hunter Stewart, and Natalia Stewart; five great-grandchildren; and niece, Carol Cole.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn E. Nordai nee Fulk; and sister, Linda Gross.

Viewing will be held on Monday, Aug. 19, 2024, from 10-11 a.m., at Christman’s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Park following the service.
