Joseph G. Deppert, 86, of Jonestown, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2023, at his home. He was the husband of Joan A. Boltz Deppert. On June 27, they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.

Born in Lickdale on Nov. 8, 1936, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Rose E. Rudegeair Deppert.

Following high school, he served in the U.S. Army. He then worked as a mix operator and retired from Reese.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Andrew C. Deppert, and his companion, Mable Reigle, of Jonestown; daughters, Anne M. Faust, of Stow, OH, Victoria L. Lawson, of Jonestown, and Anita C., wife of Henry Kreiser, of Jonestown; sisters, Joann Rice, of Harrisburg, and Florence Eckert, of Palmyra; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, John Deppert; and sister, Pat Wenrich.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 14, 2023, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park, N. Annville Twp.
