Josephine M. Waltermyer, 88, of Jonestown, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, at home. She was the wife of Clarence E. Waltermyer.
Born in Lebanon, PA, on March 18, 1937, Josephine was a daughter of the late Vincent and Catherine (Keevans) Agresta.
She was a 1955 graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School and a member of Fatima Chapel. Growing up, she attended St. Mary’s Church in Lebanon, PA, as well as Mountville United Methodist Church with her family. Prior to having a family, she worked as a secretary for the government at Fort Indiantown Gap and also in California for one year. Later, she worked for the Department of Children and Youth in Lebanon, PA. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, knitting, and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Josephine is survived by her children, Catherine Boyanowski, wife of Mark, Christine Waltermyer, and Charles Waltermyer; grandchildren, Ben, Hannah, wife of Jordan Andino, Abby, and Anya; great-grandchildren, Jericho and Roman; sister, Mary Harter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Francis, James, and Joseph Agresta; and sister, Elizabeth Rhan.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
