Joyce I. Winters, 84, of Jonestown, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024, at her home.
Born in McGillstown on Sept. 30, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd W. and Twila I. Cessna Gerberich.
Joyce worked as a medical technician at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lancaster General, and Hershey Medical Center. She retired as a consultant for Nicolet, an epilepsy monitoring company.
She was a member of St. John’s U.C.C. in Jonestown. She enjoyed cross stitch, doing puzzles, cooking, and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Jamie P., husband of Lauren Winters, of Lebanon, Dave L. Winters, of Jonestown, Ken, husband of Lisa Zearfoss, of Bristol, CT, and Jeff, husband of Sue Zearfoss, of Chesterfield, SC; daughter, Jill M., wife of Denny McGuire, of York Haven; brother, Albert L. Gerberich, of Annville; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dale Zearfoss; brother, Lloyd W. Gerberich; and sister, Doris J. Walmer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Kimmerling’s Cemetery, North Lebanon Township.
