Joyce M. Shoemaker, 83, of Cornwall, PA, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Cornwall Manor. She was the wife of the late Frederic Shoemaker.
Born in Cornwall, PA, on May 24, 1942, Joyce was a daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Engle) Beard. She was a graduate of Cornwall High School and a member of Cornwall United Methodist Church. She worked for Boscov’s for many years and loved dogs, especially Yorkies.
Joyce is survived by her children, Frederic B. Shoemaker and Jody L. Shoemaker; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Dolores Miller; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold, Russell, Bernard, Charles, and Bill.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will follow at Covenant/Greenwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
