Juan S. Ortiz Franco, 92, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025, at Spruce Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was the husband of Luz Maria Ortiz Saez.

Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, on Aug. 1, 1933, Juan was a son of the late Jovita Franco. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. He loved to cook and enjoyed meeting new people. His gift for conversation and connection made him a friend to many. His heart for service was evident in the countless ways he helped others. Above all, Juan loved sharing his faith and was a dedicated teacher of the word of God.

In addition to his wife, Juan is survived by his children, Juan Ortiz, Lucy Ortiz, Liz Felbaum, Moises Ortiz, Neftali Ortiz, Abraham Ortiz, Lilian Ortiz, and Priscilla Ortiz.

A viewing will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, at Cramp-Hummel Funeral Home, 934 Centre Ave., Reading, PA 19601, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025, at Casa de Adoracion, 1215 E. Old Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will full military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
