It is with great sadness that the family of Judith Ann (Werner) Ream, 83, of Lebanon, announced her passing on Sunday, May 5, 2024.
Born on Sept. 25, 1940, in Stouchburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Emma (Fisher) Werner.
Judy was proudly employed for 47 years at Ludens in Reading, where she was the timekeeper of the maintenance department. There was never a shortage of candies or cough drops in the family home. Having retired from the Ludens Plant of the Hershey Corporation in 2006.
Judy enjoyed record collecting, playing her piano, thrift shopping, and spending time with her family. Judy was also very musically gifted, having a music career spanning over 45 years. She could be found singing and playing piano at an early age alongside her dad, who was a great entertainer himself. She later formed her first band, ‘Judy and the Hearts’ in the late 1950s but is mostly remembered for her band ‘Judy and the Keller Brothers’ where, on the greater days of the 70s and 80s, they could always be found entertaining in the local bars and social halls and playing wedding receptions throughout Berks and Lebanon County areas.
Heaven has truly gained a musical angel.
Judith was predeceased by her loving husband, Warren D. Ream, who passed away on July 29, 1997, and with whom she shared 30 years of marriage. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Werner.
