Judith Sarah (Hammes) Jambeau, 82, passed away on the morning of May 14, 2020 surrounded by her family. It was very quiet and peaceful. She is now in the comforting arms of her Lord and Savior.

She was born on March 30th 1938 in Wyandotte, Michigan to the late Garnet S. and Roger H. Hammes. She is survived by her husband, Larry G. Jambeau who she married on October 31, 1959 in Wyandotte, MI. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past October.

Also surviving are four children – Scott C. (1960) Vista CA, Jeffrey B. (Luann) (1962) Riverview MI, Roger L. (1963) Wernersville PA, and Julie B. Jambeau-Kreider (Matthew) (1968) Lebanon PA; four grandchildren – Carissa Jambeau, Branden Jambeau, Miles Jambeau and Owen Kreider; and three great grandchildren.

She graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte, MI in January 1956. Judith went on to graduate from Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn MI as a Registered Nurse with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing in 1958. When her first child was born, she became a stay-at-home mother until a friend convinced her to go back to nursing at a nursing facility. She worked there until we moved to Pennsylvania in 1985. Judith worked at the Wyomissing Lodge (now Wyomissing Health and Rehabilitation Center) from 1987 until 1998. She was a very loving, caring and compassionate nurse. Judith and her family lived in the Wyomissing, PA area until 2007 when they relocated to Lebanon to be closer to their daughter.

There will be no viewing or services. In lieu of flowers, donations in Judith’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
