Judy A. Moyer, 73, of Annville, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital. She was the wife of John K. Moyer, with whom she would have celebrated 55 years in marriage this coming July 28.

Judy was born in Lancaster on April 13, 1950, to the late Lloyd G. and Maxine (Mellott) Flory.

She was a laborer at a sawmill. She ran the office for their cabinet shop business. She had been an animal caretaker at Hershey Medical Center and worked at the Swatara Swine pig farm. When she was younger, she was involved with 4H. Judy was a member of Zion EC Church, where she was heavily involved. She was secretary of the board, was in the gardening club, and was in the women’s Bible group, LIFT. She was a volunteer at Bellgrove Fire Company and a lifelong member of Bellegrove Auxiliary. Judy taught her family how to show sheep and helped her many nieces and nephews. They would say, “Aunt Judy helped to make me who I am today.” Judy was a “mom to all,” helped everyone, and loved working with her flowers, her animals, Irish dancing, listening to Bluegrass and Gospel music, and going to Coleman’s Park for Music-in-the-Park.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, is a son, John K. Moyer Jr.; grandchildren, Amber Knerr and Ashley Phillips; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Nancy Brenner, of Manheim, and JoAnn Zimmerman, of Schoeneck. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 1:30 PM at Zion EC Church, 710 S. White Oak St., Annville. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the church from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM.
