June A. Forney, 88, formerly of Ono, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2023, at Celebration Villa of Lebanon. She was the wife of the late William Bates and Earl E. Forney.

Born in Ono on May 9, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Beulah Boeshore Himmelberger.

She retired from the former Jonas P. Donmoyer Trucking in Ono, where she worked as a secretary for 45 years. She was a member of the Midway Church of the Brethren and had attended the Ono United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Ono Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her sister, Ruth I., wife of Leonard Leibold, of Annville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Byron Himmelberger; and sister, Mae Rhine.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Steelstown E.C.C. Cemetery.
