June Gertrude Whitman Trievel Hollinger, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on May 13th, 2023, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital.

June was born on June 8th, 1930, in Lebanon, PA, to Harry E. Whitman and Gertrude A. Whitman nee Hinebaugh.

She attended Lebanon High School, where she graduated in 1948.

June had many passions in life and was happiest surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed plants and could often be found tending to her garden or arranging flowers for her home. Her love of baking brought smiles to many faces, and her crocheting skills left a warm embrace to those who received her handmade gifts. Traveling was also a favorite pastime of June’s, and she enjoyed nothing more than exploring new places with loved ones.

June married Harry Daniel “Bud” Trievel, and together, they raised three sons, Daniel Harry Trievel, Ronald Keith Trievel, and Thomas Lee Trievel. Bud preceded June in death. June then married Donald Frances David Hollinger, who also preceded her in death.

June will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her three sons and their spouses, Suzy (wife of Ronald Keith) and Patty (wife of Thomas Lee), as well as her sister, Gertrude June Whitman Firestone, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A viewing ceremony to celebrate June’s life will be held on May 23rd at Christman’s Funeral Home from 10 AM until 11 AM, followed by funeral services at 11 AM on the same day at the same location.

June touched countless lives with her generosity and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on those who were lucky enough to know her. Her infectious smile always brightened up her surroundings, spreading warmth and joy wherever she went. June would want her loved ones to continue living life to the fullest, cherishing happy memories, and embracing every moment with those they love.

Rest in peace, June. You will always be remembered fondly.
