Karen J. Jones, 66, of Lebanon, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Oct. 9, 2020. Born in Williamsport on Sept. 21, 1954, she was the daughter of Betty J. (Boling) Lancaster and the late Edward Lancaster.

Karen was a faithful and active member of St. Mary’s Church in Lebanon. She was proud of her Catholic faith and took every opportunity to share her love of Jesus with everyone. A 1972 graduate of Loyalsock High School, Karen went on to work in the health care field for nearly 30 years. First as a nurse’s aide, and later as an LPN for nearly 15 years, before earning her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2004. Most recently, Karen worked as a registered nurse for Stone Ridge Retirement Living in Lebanon. She was kindhearted and generous. She loved her dogs, Lilly and Cody, who didn’t often let Karen out of their sight. So many things made her happy – the colors purple and turquoise, music, jewelry, her extensive collection of porcelain dolls, and, last but not least, Red Lobster’s cheddar biscuits. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her and the memory of Karen’s selflessness will forever live on.

In addition to her mother, Karen is survived by four children – Heather Stevens and her husband, John, Matthew Jones, Kristin Jones, and Tatyana Tribble; three grandchildren – Anastasia Stevens, Eli Pride, and Kandice Pride; her sister, Susan Boudman and her husband, Martin; her partner, Thomas Miller and his children, to whom Karen was like a mother – Victor, Devin, and Maria Miller; two nieces – Elyse Savoy and her husband, Ryan, and Brittany Whipkey; and her nephew, Richard Whipkey. She was preceded in death by infant twin sisters, Barbara Jean and Deborah Jean.

Funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Karen’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 897, Hershey, PA 17033, or the Human Society of Lebanon County, 150 N. Ramona Rd., Myerstown, AP 17067. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. has been entrusted with the arrangements.
