Karen L. Peiffer, 80, formerly of Palmyra, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Wyomissing Rehab and Nursing Home. She was the wife of Glen E. Peiffer, with whom she celebrated 55 years of marriage on August 6, 2022.
Karen was born in Lebanon on November 25, 1942, to the late Joseph Harry “J. Harry” and Katherine (Warren) Tobias.
She was a Lebanon High School graduate and was in the business program. Karen was an Avon representative for over 35 years. She was a member of the former First EC Church in Lebanon, where she was on various committees and was a Sunday School teacher, superintendent, and pianist, a member of the Happy Helpers Sunday School class, and she sang in the junior and senior choirs. Her hobbies included playing piano, crocheting, and jewelry.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her children, Kristin E. Coté (Mark), of Valparaiso, IN, Brent J. Peiffer (Amanda), of Manheim, and grandchildren, Caleb, Jacob, and Rachel Coté, and Luke and Benjamin Peiffer.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Victoria Coté, and her brother, Carl Tobias.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 11 AM at Chestnut Street Community Center (formerly the First EC Church), 607 Chestnut Street, Lebanon. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park, Lebanon. There will be a viewing from 10 AM until 11 AM at the church.
