Karen N. Duffey, 83, formerly of Brownfield, ME, living at the Myerstown Rest Home in Richland, PA, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025, at the home, surrounded by those who loved and cared for her.
Born in Brookline, MA, she was the daughter of Samuel and Edith (Cohen) Axelrod. She was a member of the Shepherds River Mennonite Church in Brownfield, ME.
She is survived by her nephew, Nathan “Ned” Thorner; and niece, Shelley Joy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Thorner.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the Shepherds River Mennonite Church, 251 Old County Road, Brownfield, ME. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
