Karl R. French, Jr., 72, of Lebanon, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at home. He was the husband of Cheryl M. (Gerhart) French. They were married for 54 years.

Born in Lebanon on Sept. 23, 1948, Karl was a son of the late Karl Sr. and Bette (Miller) French. He was a 1966 graduate of Cedar Crest High School and the owner/operator of French’s LLC for 49 years. He enjoyed going to flea markets and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Karl is survived by two sons, Brett (Joan French) and Kevin (Stephanie French); four grandchildren, Jacey (Caleb Albert), Nathan, Taylor, and Logan; six sisters, Patricia Wolfe, Barbara (Bob Hanak), Karol (Brian O’Hearn), Roxane (Jim Crawford), Pam (John Wise), and Sherri (Ed Bennett); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Neff.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Karl may be made to a charity of your choice. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
