Katherine L. Heist, 81, of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, at her home. She was the wife of the late Richard A. Heist.

Born in Quentin on March 6, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Gretna M. Smith Stoner.

Katherine retired from the Northern Lebanon School District, where she worked in the high school cafeteria. She was a member of the Bunker Hill Evangelical Congregational Church. She loved her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Katherine is survived by her daughters, Crystal Edris, of Lebanon, Jodi, wife of James Weatherholtz, of Jonestown, Peggy, wife of Duane Bishop, of Bunker Hill, Beth, wife of James Reardon, of Jonestown, Kierra Heist, of Lebanon, and Stephanie, wife of Jonathon Noll, of Lebanon, who was raised by Richard and Katherine; brother, Kenneth Stoner, of Lake Ariel; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard and Robert Stoner; and sisters, Shirley Stoner and Gladys Stoner.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, at the Bunker Hill Evangelical Congregational Church. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Kochenderfer’s Cemetery.
