Kathleen L. Vanovich, 75, of Jonestown, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, at her residence. She was the wife of Michael H. Vanovich. They celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary this past January.

Born in Lebanon on Nov. 10, 1949, Kathleen was the daughter of the late Vincent and Christine (Poorman) Longenecker. She graduated from Cedar Crest High School in the Class of 1967. She worked as a medical technician at Hershey Medical Center until she retired. She was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Lebanon. She was a beach fanatic and enjoyed trips to Rehoboth and Lewes beaches in DE and Myrtle Beach in SC. She liked diamond painting, needlepoint, mowing the grass, and riding in the Corvette to get soft ice cream.

In addition to her husband, Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Stephanie C. Brandt, of Jonestown, and her significant other, Bradley Hain; granddaughter, Alexis Christine Brandt; brother, Timothy J., husband of Ann Longenecker, of Lebanon, and Maryann Bracale; niece, Julie Ann Henry; and nephews, Greg and Michael Bracale and Timothy Longenecker. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Longenecker; and brother-in-law, Peter Bracale.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. The visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Inurnment will be in Covenant/Greenwood Cemetery.
