Kathleen Mae Wolf Allwein, 83, passed away peacefully at Cornwall Manor on July 5, 2025. Born in Lebanon on Aug. 4, 1941, she was the widow of William F. Allwein.
Kathleen was an active member of Avon United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Later, she became a member of Iona Zion United Methodist Church. Many children’s spiritual foundation began as she taught children’s Sunday school for 50+ years. Her love for the Lord continued to shine while being a Girl Scout Leader and 4-H Cooking Leader for many years.
Kathleen loved her profession as the owner and operator of Kathy’s Beauty Salon in her home. Recently, she was still a member of Eastern Star, Harmonica Music Association, and Amaranth. Her greatest pride was her family.
Kathleen is survived by her children, Jennifer Lyons, wife of Michael, Ned Krissinger, husband of Diane, and Jane Mitchell, wife of Randy; stepchildren, William Allwein, Susan Housel, and Jeffery Allwein; beloved grandchildren, Katelynn, Christopher, Lauryn, Chelsey, Cody, Stephanie, and Peter; 12 great-grandchildren; many stepgrandchildren; sister, Beth Seyfert; and sister-in-law, Gail Wolf.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, William Allwein; former husband, Lynford Krissinger; parents, Howard and Inez Wolf; sister, Daryl Hoffmaster; brother, Dennis Wolf; grandson, Stephen Lyons; and stepsons, Timothy Allwein and Bud Housel.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 14, at Christman’s Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., Easter Star Service at 10:50 a.m., and service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Grandview.
