Kathryn C. Myers, 94, of the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville, and formerly of Fredericksburg, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, at the home. She was the wife of the late Elbert H. Myers.
Born in Hamburg on Oct. 26, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Raymond J. and Laura F. Wagner Rentschler.
She was an active member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ in Fredericksburg, where she served as a deacon; and she was also in charge of the altar vases. She loved to help the church by selling pot pie, soup, and Avon orders. She was active in the St. John’s Women’s Fellowship and served as a past president. She had been involved with the PTA and served as the hospitality chairperson. She enjoyed camping, boating, baking, and especially working in her flower gardens.
She is survived by her daughters, Joyce M. Myers, of Fredericksburg, Beverly J. Myers, of Myerstown, and Kathy F., wife of Clint Fegan, of Mechanicsburg; daughter-in-law, Pam J. Myers; grandchildren, Jeff, Melissa, Kimberly, Ken, Jarrod, Andrew, Kaitlin, Ryan, Rob, and Donnette; 21 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy A. Mohn; son, Roger L. Myers; brothers, Wayne, Kenneth, Lester, Lee, and Norman Rentschler; sister, Shirley Hernley; and son-in-law, Gerald L. Mohn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, 2023, at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
