Kathryn L. “Kass” Adams, 80, passed away on Feb. 21, 2024, in the WellSpan York Hospital.

Kathryn Adams was born on July 7, 1943, in Lebanon to William Umberger and Helen M. Umberger nee Shay.

Kathryn graduated from Lebanon High School in 1961 and worked at San Georgia. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and baking. Her specialties were peanut butter eggs, pumpkin pies, and strawberry pies. Kass also liked watching Penn State Football, Philadelphia Flyers, Phillies, and Pittsburg Steelers with her husband, Ralph. She was a social butterfly with her husband and enjoyed spending time with her family. They belonged to the Maennerchor, Perse, St. Gerties, Rescue Fire Company, and Ladies Auxiliary. Kass was also a lifelong member of the Moravian Church, where she was involved with the Young at Hearts Club.

She was survived by her husband, Ralph D. Adams (of 61 years of marriage); children, Kim Zidik (Tony), Kevin Adams (Cathy J. Smith), and Karen Cantrell (Todd Sr.); grandchildren, Ashley Wagner (Joe), Tyler Zidik, Shania Cantrell, Todd Jr. Cantrell, Maggie Cantrell, Adeena Smart, Mitch Ericson, Serena Ditzler, Lindsey Ditzler, and Chelsea Ditzler; and great-grandchildren, Luca, Dwyer, and Holston, Emma, Levi, Cannon, and River. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Fetzer; brother, Bob Umberger; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, William Umberger, Charlie Umberger, Clyde Umberger, Herb Umberger, Jean Piper, and Ruth Tobias.

Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, from 12-1 p.m., at Christman’s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Graveside service will follow the visitation at Moravian Cemetery.
