Kay M. Copenhaver, 72, of Lebanon, formerly of Jonestown, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the WellSpan York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard E. Copenhaver Sr.
Born in Lebanon on April 27, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Clarence A. and Catherine Kern Blouch.
She graduated with the NLSD Class of 1970. Kay worked for the former Farmer’s Pride in Fredericksburg. She was a member of the Hill United Church of Christ, the Ono Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, and the Jonestown American Legion. Kay loved to volunteer, and for many years, she was deeply involved in volunteering with Wreaths Across America.
She is survived by her son, Richard E. Copenhaver Jr., and his wife, Rebecca, of Womelsdorf; daughter, Tammy K., wife of Dean Snavely, of Jonestown; two granddaughters, Lilly and Zaira; and her pets that she loved: her dog, Scrappy Doo, and her cats, Romeo and Juliet.
She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy L. Copenhaver; and her brothers, Roy J. Blouch, Harry A. Blouch, and Guy R. Blouch.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
