Keith W. “Pete” Betz, Sr., 84, of Palmyra passed away Friday, November 26, 2021.

Born August 26, 1937 in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Michael and Celia (Werner) Betz and also preceded in death by siblings Bernice, Doris, Kay (Keith’s twin), Wayne, Michael, Glenn, Donald, and Carl.

He worked for various shoe factories and retired from the old Millersburg Factory.  Pete enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and Chevrolets.

Surviving are his wife of almost 61 years Ethel M. (Bowers) Betz; sons Keith Betz, Jr. of Annville, Kenneth, husband of Pamela Betz of Palmyra, and Steven Betz of Halifax; siblings June George, Gene Betz, Ernest Betz, and Phyllis Eckert; grandchildren Sheila Berger, Kathryn Hunter, and Ryan Betz; and great-grandson Aiden Berger.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra with interment in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.  Viewings 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday and 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday both at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to defray expenses.
