Kenneth George Wagner, 88, of Myerstown, PA, died on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at StoneRidge Poplar Run, Myerstown. He was the husband of Joyce A. Wagner. They celebrated 66 years of marriage on May 28, 2026.
Born in Myerstown, PA, on March 9, 1938, he was a son of the late Calvin Joshua and Mary Alice (Light) Wagner. A 1956 graduate of Myerstown High School, Ken maintained the family business at C.J. Wagner Inc., retiring after 69 years. He was a member of Myerstown Church of the Brethren, where he served on the church building committee and commissions. Being raised in C.J. Wagner Inc., Ken and his brothers worked hard in the shop, forming hobbies and giving it the nickname “teenage town hang out.” He also enjoyed bowling on the church bowling league. He was most proud of Brethren Radio Hour.
In addition to his wife, Ken is survived by his sons, Scott Wagner, Stuart Wagner, husband of Debbie, and Sidney Wagner; granddaughter, Kimberly, wife of Greg Genega; great-grandsons, Grayson and Beckham Genega; sisters, Janet Myers and Gay Hitz; and brother, Wilbur Wagner, husband of MaryLou.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Richard Wagner; and sisters, Joyce Kintzer and Carol Risser.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, from 10-11 a.m., at Myerstown Church of the Brethren, 51 W. Stoever Ave., Myerstown, PA, 17067. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m.
