Kim M. Potocny, 63, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the loving wife of Michael S. Potocny, her husband of 41 years. Born in Lebanon on September 11, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Carole (Souders) Koch.

Kim was a member of St. Mary’s Church and worked as a music teacher at Lebanon Valley College for more than 20 years. She was a member of Lebanon Valley’s Phi Alpha Epsilon Scholarship Society and The Lebanon Choral Society. She was a 1975 graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School and a graduate of American University College where she was named Who’s Who Among Teachers. Kim played the organ for several area churches and was was hand bell director at Zion United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, Kim is survived by her daughter, Shannon; three grandchildren, Zoe, Wyatt, and Oliver; and her brother, Mike Koch and his wife, Amy.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 6th from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 2 North 8th Street in Lebanon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. has been entrusted with arrangements.
