L. Dawn Culhane, 88, of Richland, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at StoneRidge Towne Centre in Myerstown. She was the wife of Daniel M. Culhane, who died Oct. 23, 2020.

Born in Womelsdorf on Feb. 3, 1932, Dawn was the daughter of the late Charles and Carman (Schoener) Lengel. She was a member of the Millcreek Lutheran Church in Newmanstown. Dawn was employed as a machine operator at Valley Forge Flag Company in Womelsdorf for 35 years in the department that was recognized for making JFK’s flag. She was a member of the Neptune Fire Company of Richland’s Ladies Auxiliary. Dawn enjoyed reading, crocheting, shopping, and had a love for animals. What Dawn loved most was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

She is survived by a daughter, Danette Culhane, of Boca Raton, FL, grandchildren, Matthew M. Kapp, Seth M. Kapp, Shaun M. Kapp, Melissa D. Shiner, Eric M. Ream, Bradley B. Ream, and Tricia A. Dunkelberger, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanne Dunkelberger, and brothers, Jay Lengel and William Lengel.

Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
